The woman was taken to the police station on July 17 by chowkidar Vijay Verma of her village Gainahi promising her help in getting job but she was forcibly given liquor and a number of policemen raped her in a room in the police station, the woman alleged in her complaint yesterday.
On complaint of the woman, an FIR was lodged against Verma and sub-inspector Virendra Kumar, Circle officer Vinod Kumar said.
Taking note of the incident, the sub-inspector was suspended, IG (Law and Order) B P Singh told reporters in Lucknow.
He said the matter was being probed and those involved would be brought to book.
