A 34-year-old woman was
allegedly gangraped and shot at by four persons over a land dispute here.
The incident took place on Saturday night when four accused identified as Munna, Kallu, Gaffar and Kaleem abducted the woman from her home and allegedly gangraped and shot at her in her leg when she offered resistance, police said today.
SP Sitapur, BB Singh said the accused took offence when the victim's husband refused to sell his land through them.
This triggered the crime, the SP said.
A case was registered against them and they were arrested, the SP said, adding that the victim was admitted to the district hospital.
