A 25-year-old married woman allegedly
committed suicide by hanging herself here after being harassed for dowry, police said today.
Suman Kumari, who married Deepak six years ago, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan at her house last night using a dupatta, police said.
Initial investigations revealed that the deceased's husband was an alcoholic and he along with his mother and sister were allegedly harassing her to bring more dowry, police said.
The accused have been booked in this connection, but no arrests have been made so far, they said.
