A woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Jammu district today, police said.
35-year-old Sheela Devi was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her house in Khanpur area in outskirts of Jammu city today, a police officer said.
The motive for the apparent suicide has not been ascertained yet, police said.
The body has been sent for post mortem, the officer said, adding that a case has been registered in this connection.
