A woman was harassed and assaulted by two persons in Pilkhatara village here, police said today.
Raghuvir, the victim's husband, complained that his wife was on Tuesday harassed by Rajvir and his accomplice when she went to nearby fields to relieve herself, they said.
When she resisted their move, the accused assaulted her and escaped after threatening her of dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone, SHO of Jalesar police station, Dinesh Kumar said.
On the basis of her husband's complaint, an FIR was yesterday registered against Rajvir and his accomplice, he said.
No arrest have been made so far in the matter, the SHO said.
