A woman was today arrested for
allegedly trying to cheat two men by fixing her daughter's marriage with them and collecting money from the respective families, police said.
The woman had fixed her daughter's marriage to one Senthil, police said. She had approached his family for Rs one lakh stating that it was for her medical expenses.
Meanwhile, she fixed her daughter's marriage with another man from Bhavani in Erode district and collected Rs 50,000, police said.
She then set her sight on another bridgroom for her daughter but members of the public caught her and handed her over to police.
