The city police today arrested a 42-year-old woman from Madhya Pradesh for allegedly duping people through online advertisement portals on the pretext of selling high-end cameras and phones online.
Cyber Crime Police attached to Central Crime Station (CCS), a wing of Hyderabad Police, arrested the one Ispita Jain, a housewife from Madhya Pradesh, in Madhya Pradesh, a release said here.
Ispita targeted customers of an online classifieds portal, where she posted several advertisements offering high end cameras and phones at low rates, it said.

"On seeing the advertisements, several persons contacted Ipsita, who made them believe that she would send the items through courier and lured them to deposit 50 per cent of the cost of the product into her bank account. Believing her version, the victims deposited amounts ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 75,000 into her bank account," the release said.
After receiving the amounts, the accused used to switch off her mobile phone, the release said adding that so far she has cheated eight persons, including three from Hyderabad.
