Woman held for forcing 2 into prostitution

A middle-aged woman has been arrested for allegedly forcing two married women into prostitution in West Delhi's Uttam Nagar area, police said.

The accused woman has been identified as Raj Radha.

The two victims have also alleged that the 38-year-old woman had taken them to a flat in Dwarka where they were gangraped by four men. Police arrested Deepak, Atmaram, Pawan and Soban after it registered an FIR in this regard.

The incident came to light last night when police got a phone call at 8:40pm regarding a quarrel. When the police team reached the spot, the two women told it that Radha used to force them into prostitution.
 

"In their complaint, the women alleged that Radha forced them into prostitution and took them to a flat near Dwarka where four men sexually assaulted them", said a police official.

The two women were taken to Deen Dayal Updhayay hospital where a medical examination of the victims confirmed rape.

On the basis of their complaint a case was registered at Uttam Nagar police station and the police arrested the four accused.

The statement of the victims was recorded under section 164 of the CrPc.

"A case of gangrape under section 376(2) (g) and Immoral Trafficking Prevention act has been registered in this connection", said Additional Commissioner of Police (West) Ranvir Singh.
