A 32-year old bed-ridden ailing man died after his younger sister allegedly kicked him in the chest following a quarrel here today, police said.
Selvaraj had been bed ridden in their house for the past ten days due to some illness. His sister Nagalakshmi got into an argument with him and in a fit of rage kicked him on the chest.
Hearing the man's screams, the neighbours rushed and informed the police after finding Selvaraj lying motionless. On reaching the house, Police found Selvaraj dead.
Nagalakshmi, who fled the scene after assaulting her sibling, was arrested by police later.
Police said the woman, whose husband had deserted her, was staying with her mother, a construction worker and Selvaraj.
