A woman was today arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle into the country gold bars valuing about Rs 77 lakh at the international airport here.
The accused was intercepted by customs officials after her arrival here from Bangkok.
"During her search, officials found three gold bars weighing three kilograms valued at Rs 77.03 lakh," a customs official said.
The gold bars were seized and the woman passenger was arrested, he said.
