The incident was reported from Sarita Vihar and the deceased has been identified as Preeti Jha, who got married with one Manan against the wishes of their families.
She took the extreme step apparently after a fight with her husband, police said. No suicide note was recovered.
"We are investigating the case. The body has been sent for post mortem," they said.
