A 22-year-old woman was killed allegedly by her husband and in-laws for dowry in Dhumaria village here, police said today.
According to the complaint filed by the victim's father, the woman was strangled to death on Tuesday by her husband and in-laws for not giving them dowry, they said.
The woman, who was married three months ago, was being harassed by her in-laws for dowry, police said, adding, they demanded Rs 2 lakh cash and a motor-cycle.
An FIR has been filed in this regard against the victim's husband and other family members who are absconding and the matter is being investigated, police added.
