A woman was killed and her husband critically injured when their motor-cycle was hit by a truck on Cuttack-Chandballi state highway near here today, police said.
The mishap took place near Jantilo inspection bungalow junction near here when the woman, identified as Kanaklata Sethy (38) was pillion riding and the truck rammed the bike, police said.
While the woman died on the way to hospital, her husband Ratnakar who was riding the bike, is battling for life at the district headquarters hospital, they said.
Search is on to seize the truck and its erring driver who drove away after the mishap, they said.
