A 65-year-old woman was killed and three others were injured when the SUV carrying them collided with a truck at Kashyappur under Uluberia police station in Howrah district today, police said.
Four persons, including two women, were going from Marishda in East Midnapore district to Kolkata airport.
The accident occurred on NH-6 when their SUV rammed into a moving truck killing Amala Singh on the spot and injuring the three others, police said.
The three are hospitalised.
Local people put up road blockade for over an hour to protest against the incident.
