The Naga Mothers' Association (NMA), an apex women's body in the state today claimed the woman who was killed in an encounter between the NSCN(K) and the Assam Rifles, was a health worker.
NMA Advisor Rosemary Dziivichii told PTI from Tuensang that "a delegation of Naga mothers had reached Tuensang this evening to take part in a peace meeting with the leaders of NSCN(K) in Pangsha, but we are shocked to learn about the encounter between the Assam Rifles and NSCN(K)."
"We are deeply saddened that a woman health worker was killed and another woman (a SSA teacher) sustained bullet injuries," she said.
