A newly married 24-year-old woman died and her husband was injured when a truck hit their motorcycle in Mongolpuri area of outer Delhi, police said today.
The couple was returning to their home in Nihal Vihar after attending a wedding ceremony, when their motorcycle was hit from behind by the truck on main road of ST Block in Mongolpuri.
The accident happened around 12.30 AM, said a senior police officer.

Ashish, husband of deceased Arti, sustained injuries in the accident and was admitted to hospital for treatment.
The truck hit the motorcycle and the woman was thrown on the road. She was crushed under the wheels of the truck whose driver sped away after hitting the bike, officer said.
A case has been registered and police are trying to find out the details of the truck and its driver by scanning the CCTV footage from nearby areas.
