A woman was today killed and six others were injured when a mound of earth caved in while they were digging soil near a pond in Hamidpur forest area here.
Shaima, 20, and six others were trapped when the mound fell on them while they were digging soil, police said.
The locals managed to rescue them, who were then taken to the nearby district hospital.
Shaima, who had received serious injuries, died on way to the hospital, police said, adding that the condition of the injured has improved.
