A 68-year-old woman was charred to death while her husband and son suffered serious burn injuries when a fire broke out in Nagrota Gazina village in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur district today, the police said.
The deceased was identified as Shilpa Devi (28) while her injured husband and son were identified as Yogesh Kumar and Viven, respectively, SP Hamirpur, Raman Kumar Meena said.
The injured were rushed to Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College at Tanda (Kangra) and their condition was stable, he said.
The spot has been preserved and a team from Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL), Dharamsala,was called, Meena said, adding that a probe was initiated to ascertain the cause of fire.
