A 24-year old woman allegedly killed her 18 month-old girl child and committed self-immolation in the district today, police said.
Kausalya had doused herself and her child with kerosene and set themselves afire in her house at Kongarpalayam in Gobichettipalayam taluk.
Neihgbours informed police who found the woman and the child charred to death.
Police suspect domestic quarrel to be the reason behind the woman's extreme action.
