Woman kills mother-in-law in Raj

A 65-year-old woman was today allegedly bludgeoned to death by her daughter-in-law at Seeswali village in Baran district, police said.

Shantibai Dhakar, a resident of Kankariya Basti of the village, was attacked by her daughter-in-law Sumitra Dhakar (40) with a brick following a scuffle between the two, CI Mangrol police station Jagdish Prasad Meena said, adding she died on the spot.

Shantibai was living separately in the village but this morning she had visited her son Mahaveer's house where the scuffle between the two erupted over some issue of the past, he said, adding Mahaveer was not at present at his home at the time of the incident.
 

A case under section 302 (punishment for murder) of IPC has been lodged against the accused and further investigation is on, he said.

The dead body was handed over to the family members after postmortem, he added.
