A woman was allegedly harassed by four men who also assaulted her with a knife when she resisted their molestation bid in villag here, police said today.
The woman was returning to her home from the fields in village Sohar in Malawan area yesterday when Yogesh of the same village along with three others, abducted her, a police official said.
They carried her away to Yogesh's house and when she resisted the molestation bid, she was attacked by them with a knife. The accused then also allegedly set the victim's house on fire.
The woman went to the police stationyesterday but she alleged that FIR was not being lodged in this connection. She then approached the ASP who orderedlodging of the FIR and taking necessaryaction against the accused, police said, adding, no arrest has been made yet.
