Unsatisfied with UP police response in the case, family members of the 35-year-old woman, who was murdered while resisting rape bid in Lucknow's Mohanlalganj area, today demanded a CBI probe into the matter.

"The state capital police has taken name of one other person but did not include him in its investigations. He is boss of Ram Sewak, who was arrested by the police. The daughter of the victim has taken name of the same person, who used to visit her place frequently but police has so far spared him", the victim's brother-in-law told reporters.

The victim, who was brutally murdered after she had resisted rape bid, hailed from Deoria district.

Alleged that Lucknow police was shielding the guilty, the brother-in-law said, "We demand a CBI inquiry into the matter."

The Uttar Pradesh Police today arrested one guard of a private security firm in connection with her murder, and said that the autopsy findings indicated attempt to rape.

Two policemen have been suspended for dereliction of duty and action would be taken against all those officials found guilty of allegedly circulating pictures of the woman's nude and blood-stained body on social networking websites, Additional Director General (ADG) Sutapa Sanyal told reporters in Lucknow.
