A young married woman from Bihar, who was suspected to have been murdered by her father-in-law after she went missing, was today found by Delhi Police to be living in the national capital with her paramour.

22-year-old Zeba Khan was thought to have been murdered after she disappeared from her marital home in Sitamarhi district in Bihar and on her father's complaint a case of murder was lodged on December 6 against her father-in-law, police said.

Delhi Police today received a tip-off that a couple who had recently eloped from Bihar are living in Noor-E-Elahi area here.

Based on the information, the couple were detained and their sustained interrogation brought it out that the woman was married to one Sheikh Jala in Bihar in 2006 and had four children, DCP (North East) R A Sanjeev said.

"Later on, she developed friendship with 22-year-old Mohd. Irshad. They both ran away and reached Delhi where they started living in a rented accommodation in Noor-E-Elahi," the officer said.

The woman's father-in-law is currently in judicial custody. She has been sent to Nari Niketan, police said.
