Woman objects to illegal construction, beaten up by neighbours

The incident took place in East Kidwai Nagar on July 6 and the victim has been identified as Muneesh Kumari Yadav.

According to police, she and her husband had requested her neighbour Shyam Prasad in the ground floor to demolish a wall they built near the staircase as it was blocking their entry and it was a dangerous structure.

As the neighbour allegedly refused to do so, she approached CPWD on July 5 and got the structure demolished as it was an illegal construction.

On July 5, the teacher alleged, the neighbour and his two sons entered her house and allegedly hurled abuses at her for complaining to CPWD.

 

The next day night, Prasad, her sons and a local leader came to her house and allegedly attacked her. They allegedly abused her verbally and beat her up several times before leaving her house.

She was taken to her hospital by her husband.

Police has registered a case.
