Neetu and her paramour Mahesh were apprehended yesterday following probe into the disappearance of Dhruv Kumar, who was later found to be murdered, Additional Commissioner of Police (West) V Renganathan said.

"Mahesh, a driver and friend of the deceased, and Neetu allegedly struck a deal with his friends for Rs 50,000 to kill Dhruv," he said.

Dhruv owned a scrap shop. Dhruv's brother reported to police that he was missing since September 18. Police received an input that Mahesh had allegedly kidnapped someone.

"He (Mahesh) was apprehended from Moti Nagar area and his questioning led to the recovery of Dhruv's body. Neetu was also arrested later," Renganathan said.

Neetu was not having a cordial relationship with Dhruv and later developed a relationship with Mahesh, who allegedly used to visit her house in the absence of the victim.

"Mahesh's frequent visits became a bone of contention between Dhruv and his wife. Neetu allegedly wanted to get rid of Dhruv and conspired with Mahesh to kill her husband. Mahesh got his two friends Kallu and Raju to commit the crime," Renganathan said.

On September 17, he claimed, Mahesh called Dhurav on the pretext of purchasing some articles and took him to Bawana where he and his friends allegedly murdered him by hitting him with an iron rod.
