Harwinder Kaur (37) protested at the border with placards demanding to be given justice or sent to Pakistan along with her family members.

Officials said Kaur alleged that a senior police officer had tried to rape her. She filed criminal complaint against him but the police, at the behest of the officer, was harassing her by conducting frequent raids at her residence.

The woman said she was married in 2001 in Ajmer. She left her husband after eight months due to irreconcilable differences and returned to her parents home in Yamunanagar in Haryana.

On reaching Yamunanagar, she filed criminal complaint with police and during that process she came in contact with the officer who, she claimed, attempted to rape her.
