A woman police sub inspector attached to Yeola police station in the district, was today caught allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000, the Anti-corruption Bureau said.
The accused, Mangal Bapurao Joman, had demanded bribe from the complainant for not registering a molestation case against him by his sister-in-law on June 22, a statement from ACB said.
The police sub-inspector (PSI) had demanded Rs 5,000 from him to drop the case.
However, he lodged a complaint with the ACB, following which the sleuths laid a trap and nabbed her accepting the bribe, the release said.
