A woman in her late thirties was allegedly raped by two persons in Greater Faridabad area and later cheated by her neighbour of Rs 30,000 on the pretext of registering a case, police said today.
Inspector Vimal of Old Faridabad Police Station said the woman, a resident of Bhood Colony here, in her complaint alleged that one Vinod, known to her family, came to her on February 8 this year and asked her to go to local court on the pretext of a case filed by her daughter's mother-in-law.
Vinod said as her daughter's mother-in-law has filed a case against her, there was a need of her thumb impression on the papers in court, police said quoting her complaint.
Later, she was taken to Greater Faridabad, near Nehar Per area in a car where Vinod called up Sunil alias Dharma and both raped her at an isolated place there.
Later, the duo dropped the woman at her house, where her neighbour Ganesh alias Ashok took Rs 30,000 on the pretext of filing a case against Vinod and Sunil, she said.
When she realised that Ganesh prevented her from going to police against the duo, she lodged a case yesterday.
A case has been registered under various sections of IPC, police said, adding that probe was on.
