Woman raped by property dealer on pretext of marriage

A property dealer was booked here for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman on several occasions in the last nine months on the pretext of marriage and forcing her to undergo a pregnancy termination at Vidhyadhar Nagar here, police said today.

The accused Anil Tanwar, who had helped the victim selling one of her property last year, gradually developed a relationship with her. He raped the girl on several occasions in the last nine months, SHO, Vidhyadhar Nagar Police station, Rajendra Jain said.

She was even forced to get her pregnancy terminated by the accused.

On the basis of a complaint lodged by the girl, a case has been registered against Tanwar, who is at large, the SHO added.
