A 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man, dealing in real estate business, on the pretext of providing her a job.

Police said the woman lives with her family in Aman Vihar in Outer Delhi and was in search of job when she met the man.

A police official said that the accused took the victim to Bahadurgarh in Haryana on the pretext of an interview for the job and raped her on November 8.

"The victim has alleged that the man raped her in a room and threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone. The accused then dumped the victim near her home in the night and fled in his car," he said.

An FIR has been registered after the woman and her family approached the police on November 9 and narrated the incident. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where rape was established in her medical examination, the official said.

"We have lodged an FIR of rape and are conducting raids to nab the accused, who is absconding after the incident," the official added.
