A woman's body was dug out from the graveyard in Garhi Pukhta village of Shamli district after her family alleged that she was burnt to death by her-in laws for dowry, police said today.
According to an FIR lodged by the woman's brother, the deceased identified as Shabina, was burnt to death by her in-laws and buried in grave yard on May 1, without informing her family members.
The police had sought permission from the District Magistrate(DM) for digging out the body, which has been sent for postmortem.
A case has been registered against the husband and in-laws, they said.
