A partly clad body of a 35-year-old woman was found in Noorpur town here, police said today.
"Shabana, a mother of three, was found dead last evening with her throat slit," Satendra Kumar, SHO, Noorpur said.
Her husband, Atiq Ahmad, is missing, he said.
The couple, married for 15 years, has three sons. Their youngest son spotted the body. His brothers had gone to a relative's place and were not present in the house, police said.
The body has been sent for postmortem, Kumar said, adding efforts are on to trace the victim's husband.
