A youth was arrested in Kendrapara district of Odisha today for allegedly uploading in the Internet obscene photos of a woman whom he had befriended on social media, police said.
The accused had developed a relationship with the woman, a college student, police said adding that the woman later discovered that her pictures have been uploaded in the social media by the accused.
In an FIR lodged with Pattamundai police, she alleged that the accused took her for a ride and posted her pictures infringing her privacy, police said.
The accused was booked under various Sections of IPC and the Information Technology Act. Later, a local court sent him to jail custody.
