A woman died after she allegedly immolated herself at her residence in Janipur area of Jammu city, police said today.
Shahida, 40, received serious burn injuries after she poured kerosene oil and set herself afire at her residence, they said.
She was rushed to Government Medical College hospital where she succumbed to burn injuries, they said, adding, the body was handed over to her family after post mortem.
A case has been registered and a probe is on to ascertain the cause behind this extreme step, they said.
