A 35-year-old woman was severely injured after being shot at allegedly by five persons in Shamli district, police said today.
The woman identified as Babli was attacked when she was returning from the fields at Kairana town yesterday, they said.
The assailants escaped after the incident, police said, adding the woman has been admitted to a hospital.
The matter is being investigated, they added.
