Woman shot at, five others injured in separate attacks in UP

A 27-year-old woman was critically injured after being shot at allegedly by unidentified miscreants while five others sustained injuries in separate incidents in the district, police said today.

The incident occurred yesterday when the victim, Mohini Devi of Amogpur Bhatan village had gone to relieve herself in the fields and a gang of unidentified persons shot at her, police said.

She has been shifted to Agra Medical College. An FIR has been registered but no arrests have been made so far, they said.

In another incident, one Damodar Singh was seriously injured after being stabbed by four persons in Sadhupura village yesterday reportedly over personal enmity, they said.
 

Singh has been admitted to a hospital and an FIR has been registered by Nidholikalan police against Sushil and three others from the same village, police said.

In Nagla Girand village, one Dalveer was injured after allegedly being assaulted by four persons due to previous enmity while in Dhakpura village, a woman, Guddi, was injured allegedly after being assaulted by armed assailants yesterday, police said.

In Nagla Bhajana village, Vimala Devi and Gopal were injured after they were assaulted by seven persons, police said.

A complaint has been lodged against seven persons and the injured have been admitted to a hospital, they said.

No arrest have been made so far, police added.
