Woman shot at while guarding goats from robbers

A 30-year-old woman was allegedly shot at while guarding her goats from being stolen by unidentified men in Shamli district, police said today.

The victim identified as Indravati was shot by a group of unidentified men at Serpur village in Shamli district yesterday after she prevented them from stealing her goats, SHO of Jhinjhana police station, R N Yadav said.

The woman has been admitted in a hospital in serious condition, police said.

A case has been registered against the robbers who fled from the scene after the crime, SHO said, adding that investigation is on in the matter.
