Shahjahan (58) was shot dead when she was going to Divisional Commissioner's office on a motor-cycle with one Rajwant Pandey, they said.
Prima facie the incident appears to be an outcome of a land dispute between Shahjahan and her step sons, police said, adding that efforts are on to arrest the assailants.
