Megha Saini was killed by two assailants last evening when she had gone to purchase goods for her marriage, Deputy SP Jagat Ram Joshi said.
Saini was to wed on December 8, he said, adding that a case has been registered in the matter.
Security was tightened in the area after locals blocked the Delhi-Pauri highway for several hours to protest against the shooting.
