A woman was stabbed to death while two others allegedly commited suicides in different incidents in East Singhbhum district.
A man allegedly stabbed his wife to death in Chotagovindpur, on the outskirts of the steel city, under Govindpur police station on Wednesday night, police said.
The accused Sriram Soren and the victim Sarswati Soren were frequently embroiled in quarrel over petty issue after consuming liquor, police said.
Sriram has been arrested.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man allegedly self-immolated following a quarrel with his wife at Arjunbeda village, about 90 km from here, in Ghatsila sub-division last night, officer-in-charge of the police station, Anjani Kumar said.
The sister-in-law of Leda's wife, noticed Leda in a serious condition and informed police, who rushed him to a nearby hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
Kumar said portion of Leda's house was also burnt in the incident.
Meanwhile, a 52-year-old man, identified as Omprakash Das, shot himself dead on the rooftop of his house in Nehru Colony under Golmuri police station last night, police said.
Domestic problem was again stated to be the reason behind the incident, police said.
