A 35-year-old woman was stabbed to death while she was sleeping in her home in Asauri village here, police said today.
Rabiya was sleeping in the house with her three daughters when she was attacked by the assailant last night, police said.
When one of her daughters woke up, the assailant beat her up and fled the scene.
The incident came to light this morning after the girls shouted for help, police said, adding that a case against unknown persons has been registered.
Police said the deceased lived alone with her daughters as her husband works in Delhi.
