Two brothers of a 35-year-old woman, who had committed suicide over "police inaction" against her molesters, have left their home at Dhanori village in the district alleging that they were being "pressurised" to come to a compromise with the accused.

The woman's brothers, Shamsher Singh and Bharat Singh, alleged that though the police had registered a case against 11 persons, six policemen and five villagers, no arrest has been made so far in this connection.

They said they were disappointed over the police attitude and alleged that they were being "pressurised" to come to a compromise with the policemen named in the FIR.

Police, however, refuted the charges and said a thorough probe is being conducted into the case. Two villagers have also been arrested in the case, police added.

The brothers said as they are not getting justice in this case, they want to meet President Pranab Mukherjee to seek his permission to "end their lives".

The woman had committed suicide on May 9 by consuming poison in front of one of the accused who, she had claimed in her suicide note, had molested her about a year ago and had been harassing her since then.

Sources said that three men had allegedly barged into her house in April last year when she was alone and assaulted her. Since then, she had been struggling to get justice.

A case of abetment to suicide has been registered against eleven persons - six policemen including two retired personnel and five villagers.
