: A woman textile mill employee was killed and 18 other women workers injured when the van they were travelling in fell on its side at Kasanaickenpatti in the district today.
The van was going to a banyan factory in Tirupur when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it swerved sideways, killing Karuppammal on the spot, police said.
All the injured have been hospitalised, they said.
