Woman thief held from New Delhi railway station

Police of New Delhi Railway Station (NDRS) today claimed to have arrested a woman thief and recovered Rs 1 lakh from her possession.

The accused, whose name has not been disclosed, was arrested from near Metro station's Gate number 3 at New Delhi railway station.

According to the police, on June 17, a lady passenger had filed a complaint with the NDRS police that Rs 1 lakh was stolen from her handbag at the station's platform number 14.

Police examined the CCTV footage of platform number 14, and found a woman moving suspiciously around the complainant before the crime took place.
 

After retrieving the photo of the accused, police began a hunt for her and was told by an informer that she was around Metro station's Gate number 3, from where she was arrested and the stolen money recovered from her.
