Woman throws boiling rice on neighbours leaving four injured

A woman from Bhiwandi here has been arrested for allegedly throwing hot cooked rice on her neighbour and her children, leaving them burnt, police said today.

According to Police PRO Gajanan Kabdule, the incident took place on Thursday when the neighbour--Sabhana Shah (28) had gone to the house of arrested accused--Ruksana Ansari (23) to enquire about the quarrel between the children of the two families in Kaptalao Slum colony.

Annoyed, Ansari flung the container with hot boiling rice on the complainant leaving her and her three children-- Shahnavaz (6), Faizan (3) and Sania (7) burnt, police said.

The victims are being treated at a local hospital, police said.
 

An offence was registered under section 324 of the IPC and Ansari was arrested yesterday.
