Woman trampled to death by elephants

A woman was trampled to death by two wild elephants in Assam's Goalpara district today, official sources said.

The jumbos, who strayed from nearby forests in Meghalaya, attacked the house of 50-year-old widow Rupoti Koch in Udaypur Kochpara village under Mornoi police station of the district.

The elephants damaged the house of the woman as well.
