A woman, who allegedly strangulated her paramour to death and dumped his body near Geeta colony flyover at ITO, and two other persons have been arrested by Delhi Police.
The arrested have been identified as Poonam (name changed), Virender (43), Satyapal (27) by police, which has also seized the auto rickshaw used to discard the body.
Police said the deceased Satvinder Singh (45-50 years old), a resident of Pitampura, was murdered on the intervening night of February 24 and 25 by her, following which she looted him off Rs 48,000.
"During investigation, it was revealed that the deceased had illicit relations with Poonam and another woman at the same time. Poonam, who was in dire need of money, strangulated him taking advantage of his inebriated condition and fled with the cash of around Rs 48,000," a police officer said.
She hatched the conspiracy of killing him after he refused to giver her more than Rs 2,000 on being asked by her, police said.
Later, she dumped the body with the help of her aunt, who is still absconding, maternal uncle Virender and auto driver Satyapal who have been arrested.
Police recovered the body on February 27 in a slightly decomposed state.
"The body was found wrapped in a blanket," police said adding that further investigation was on.
