Women drawn from various walks of life would be felicitated with "Fempowerment Women Achievers Awards-2016" at a function here on July 17.
The selection of award winners was done yesterday by a Jury comprising prominent members of society, a press release issued by Molecule Communications, which has organised the event, said here today.
The event will be held at the Film City in suburban Goregaon.
The shortlisted nominees were subjected to rigorous on-site reviews by independent experts who were achievers in their respective fields, the release said.
The jury members include noted filmmaker Subhash Ghai, Chairman & Editor-in-Chief of 'Business World' Annurag Batra, Global Head For Leadership, Learning & People Management - Essar Group Adil Malia, lawyer Mrunalini Deshmukh, noted journalist-author Bhawana Somaaya and MD of Morgan Stanley Ridham Desai.
The awards presentation ceremony would be telecast live on Zee television network.
Nominations were received from across the country in all the 16 categories, including 'Special Recognition for a Man by Women'.
According to Kiren Shrivastav, Founder of Fempowerment Women Achievers Awards and CEO of Molecule Communications, the motto of awards is to empower, encourage, applaud and create more achievers.
"We focused on the nominees through a rigorous process and seven months of thorough research," she said.
