A woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house in Dabua Colony area here, police said today.
The deceased has been identified as Sunita (25), a police officer said, adding that she hanged herself from the ceiling last night.
Sunita and her husband Annu Kumar, hailing from Jalaun in Uttar Pradesh, lived in the Colony while their two children lived in their native village.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and a probe has begun, the officer added.
