India's pilot project enabling Bangladeshi women travelling to India to apply for visas without an e-token or prior appointment will end tomorrow.

The hassle-free benefit was offered by the Indian High Commission here as a goodwill gesture from October 3 where woman applicants were offered to avail their Indian visa without any e-Token.

They would only have to visit Indian Visa Application Centre for completing visa formalities.

Women applicants wanting to visit India were also offered to submit tourist visa applications on behalf of their immediate family members who will accompany them to India.

Interested women applicants and their family members seeking visas will need to have confirmed air tickets with them when they apply. The date of journey should be in the month of October but after seven days of submission of the visa application form at the Indian Visa Application Centre.

The Indian High Commission offered this special facility as a goodwill gesture extended to women and their family members. This was done to facilitate ease of securing Indian visas during the holiday season and to strengthen in contacts between India and Bangladesh.
